Forest Fire at Ammunition Hill in Jerusalem

Israel — A forest fire broke out Wednesday afternoon in a wooded area next to Ammunition Hill in Jerusalem. Fire crews arrived at the scene and prevented the spread of the flames. Ammunition Hill is the site of a famous battle during the Six Day War and is currently a museum and heritage center celebrating the reunification of Jerusalem in 1967. There are no reports as to whether the fire was intentionally set or due to hot weather.
