Bill Asks For Changes To Utah Wildfire Policies

USA — KUTV) The legislature is discussing a bill that would allow the Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands to develop wildfire policies based on the change in climate.

Right now, the department can only plan for climate change factors if the legislature gives it authority.

Bill sponsor Kraig Powell says he’s not sure if the bill has enough support to pass.
