USA — A Stoughton DPW worker was rescued after getting stuck in a swamp during a brush fire on Monday.
Wicked Local Stoughton reported that the worker was hurt during a fire set to clear away brush for an ice rink near Washington and Gay streets that is created each winter.
Officials believe wind may have caused the controlled burn to spread. It took crews about an hour to rescue the man and put out the fire.
The worker was taken to Mass General Hospital with burns. The extent of his injuries was not immediately known.
