Armenia — There is a large forest fire in Armenia’s Lori Region.

The dispatchers at Rescue Committee of Lori Region received a call, on Sunday at 6:10 p.m., that there was a fire at the base of Bazum Mountain Range, together with the section covering the city cemetery.

Ever since the start of the fire, rescuer-firefighters are trying to put out the fire, Armenian’s correspondent reports from Lori Region. Hrach Antonyan, Head of the Rescue Committee of Lori Region, told Armenian’s correspondent that around a dozen firefighters as well as local residents are trying to extinguish the fire.

Antonyan also informed that a team from the Fire Inspectorate will arrive at the scene on Monday to provide a conclusion on the size of the devastated area and the cause of the fire.
