Nepal — A wildfire spreading at Langtang National Park is still out of control.
Thousands of valuable plants and trees have been destroyed by the inferno spreading in the national park since Saturday. Efforts are underway to control the wildfire, according to park authorities.
Security personnel, park officials and local residents have been making frantic bid to control the fire that started from Timure. Efforts have come a cropper owing to blowing winds, stiff and rough terrain, said wildlife conservation office Rajendra Dhungana.
Local people said small plants and thousands of hectares have been destroyed by the blaze.
