USA — Two homes and a barn were destroyed Tuesday afternoon by a grass fire northwest of Guymon, officials said.
One occupied home, one vacant house and a small barn were destroyed in a grass fire that was about 10 miles long by a half-mile wide, Texas County emergency manager Harold Tyson said.
No injuries were reported, Tyson said. The blaze was extinguished by local firefighters and crews from Texas and Kansas, he said.
They saved a lot of homes. We hate that we lost that one for sure, but hes going to be taken care of, Tyson said. The American Red Cross was assisting the fire victim, he said.
