Nepal — A fire that broke out in Area Timure Forest along the border of northern Rasuwa has come under control from Friday night.

The fire that spread in the dense forest nearby Timure village under Langtang national park since five weeks back came under control after the rain that took place on Thursday night, said locals.

The loss incurred by the fire is tentatively Rs. 20 million, according to national park administration.

It has been difficult to mobilize Nepal Army, Nepal Police, locals and national park employees to control the fire due to flood, hurricane and steep land.
