USA — A fire on Rullion Green Way damaged four structures Thursday afternoon.
The Henderson Fire Department responded to homes at 2392 and 2398 Rullion Green Way where a fire had spread between the two, damaging both residences and a detached garage at 2398 Rullion Green Way and destroying an outbuilding at 2392 Rullion Green Way.
Acting Assistant Chief Scott Foreman said no one was injured in the fire.
Chief Danny Froehlich said the call was dispatched as a possible grass fire, but “we don’t know if it started as a grass fire or in the outbuilding.”
The winds and the dry conditions fueled the fire, causing it to spread rapidly to the surrounding structures, Froehlich said.
The Henderson Ambulance Service and the American Red Cross also responded to the scene. Among other duties, the two agencies assisted firefighters by getting them wet rags to help them cool off and fluids to keep them hydrated after working in the extreme heat.
Further information was unavailable.
