USA: UTAH COUNTY – Fire crews in Utah County are fighting a brush fire started by gunfire.
Fire officials say two men were target practicing west of Utah Lake Saturday evening around 6 p.m. when they accidentally started the fire. They called police immediately, but the flames spread quickly.
Crews were able to contain the blaze to three acres.
There are no homes in the area and no one was injured. Fire officials say target practicing is the leading cause of human-started brush fires in Utah County and ask the public to be cautious.
