NEW INFO: Wildfire Contained In Onslow County

USA — A fire that has burned dozens of acres in Onslow County is contained, but is still burning Friday morning.
Authorities originally thought more than 50 acres of land were on fire, but say it was more like 42 acres.
About fifteen houses were evacuated but those residents are allowed to return home.
Onslow County Emergency Management, forestry and county departments, as well as crews from outside the county and Highway Patrol have all been on scene.
The North Carolina Forestry Service says the fire started when a debris fire got out of control. Authorities say dry weather and ripe conditions helped the fire to spread quickly.
The fire was near Mayberry Lane in Richlands, between Jacksonville and Kinston.
There were no injuries and no homes were damaged.
