USA — Firefighters say they have contained a 20-acre grass fire that injured at least three people and burned four mobile homes in rural Tehama County.
State fire department spokesman Kevin Colburn says 3 to 4 people were transported to the hospital Wednesday with minor injuries during the fire near Highway 99 in Corning.
The flames also scorched 10 to 12 vehicles.
Colburn says the blaze was sparked by someone mowing grass. He says it was contained by afternoon.
Temperatures in the Tehama County area, about 100 miles north of Sacramento, reached 100 degrees with wind gusts of up to 27 mph during the day.
