State of emergency has been lifted in Ryazan Region

Russia — Following a report from Emergency Situations Minister Sergei Shoigu, Dmitry Medvedev decided to lift the state of emergency in Ryazan Region that had been declared in response to wildfires.

Ryazan Region is one of seven regions in which the President imposed a state of emergency on August 2, 2010 due to the serious wildfires. The state of emergency in the other six regions – Nizhny Novgorod, Voronezh, Vladimir and Moscow Regions, and the Republics of Mari El and Mordovia – was lifted earlier.
