Canada — A Conair water bomberan aircraft designed to help put out forest firescrashed 160 kilometres northeast of Vancouver on Saturday, killing both pilots inside and sparking a forest fire itself. The steep terrain and resulting fire prevent search-and-rescue teams from reaching the crash site in time. There were no survivors from the accident, said Conair vice-president Rick Pedersen. There wont be any names released until notification of next of kin. The fire, which grew to about 5,000 square metres, has been fully contained.
