Bushfire appeal fund raises $391m

Victoria’s Bushfire Appeal Fund is to close down operations from September, after allocating almost all of the money donated after Black Saturday.
More than $391 million was raised, to assist bushfire affected communities in the wake of the tragedy.
The State Government says communities will continue to have a say in the spending of funds for rebuilding efforts.
The Government also says the head of the Victorian Bushfire Reconstruction and Recovery Authority (VBRRA), Christine Nixon, will continue to have a role on the panel.
