Mines explode along LoC in Rajouri

India — Several mines exploded along Line of Control (LoC) along Indo-Pak border in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said today.

Fire erupted on the Pakistan side of forest along LoC and spread to Indian side in Keri sector of Noushera belt in Rajouri district last night, they said.

Several mines exploded as a result of the fire, the police added.

Army, Forest officials and police later controlled the forest fire, they said adding a forward post was also partially damaged in the fire.

However, there was no loss of life or injury to anyone in the fire, they said.
