USA — The death of a woman who was found Saturday during a brush fire at 27 Hamburg Road has been ruled an accident.
Lt. J. Paul Vance, state police public information officer, said today that the medical examiner determined that 63-year-old Rosemary Strekel died from smoke inhalation and burn injuries.
Vance said Strekel was tending to a fire pit when it got out of control and started a brush fire.
She was found by fire crews at the scene and was pronounced dead.
