Germany — The Stuttgart Fire Department received a call on a grass fire around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 1500 block of N. Maple.

“They (Stuttgart firefighters) got there and found that the grass fire had already been put out by people who were there,” Stuttgart Fire Department Chief J.P. Jordan said.

A man and his vehicle were stuck in the field and the heat of the vehicle caught the grass on fire, according to Jordan.

“The man was seriously burned on his right arm and face and went by private vehicle to the hospital,” Jordan said.

No word on the man’s condition as of press time.
