Fire destructs 150 hectares of woods in Gonio, Adjara

Georgia — Fire has destructed 150 hectares of woods in Gonio, Adjara Region. Fire and police brigades, as well as rescuers fought the disaster whole night and only by dawn, they managed to extinguish the fire at the Gonio-Kvariati line. Local population was also helping the special brigades. The hard landscape complicated the works. There was a danger that the fire might spread on the populated areas, however, the fire brigades managed to extinguish the fire in time.
The Adjarian authorities and the governors of the two villages were observing the work of fire brigades whole night.
