Australia — The haze over Perth today is set to continue as fire crews work to contain two fires in the South-West.
A fire believed to be deliberately lit in Harvey on Sunday has burnt through 4,500 hectares.
While a prescribed burn near Walpole jumped containment lines on Sunday.
Smoke from both fires has caused the haze in Perth.
Murray Carter from the Department of Environment and Conservation says the haze is likely to blanket Perth until the fires are out.
“It’s cleared up after a pretty hazy morning in Perth and Mandurah, it cleared on the back of the sea breeze but we do anticipate that overnight and into tomorrow we will get another smoke haze in Perth.
