USA — A female Martin County Sheriff’s Office deputy was injured after crashing her cruiser on the way to the Indiantown brush fire on Monday.

Her vehicle ran off the road about five miles from Indiantown and hit a pine tree and some palmettos. Authorities believe inclement weather might have been a factor.

The deputy, Rebecca Brady, 39, was taken by helicopter to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, where she was in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries, said sherif’s spokeswoman Rhonda Irons.

Brady has been a deputy about five years and is assigned to the Uniform Patrol Division.
