Man Taken to Hospital After Trying to Fight Grass Fire

A man was taken to the hospital Thursday night after firefighters say it appears he was trying to fight a grass fire that got away from him.
It happened near Colfax, off County Road “S”. The Colfax Fire Chief says the man who lived there was burning grass and it got out of control.

The chief says the fire burned an old mobile home that was used for storage and another couple of sheds. The fire chief says the man who lived there was taken to the hospital for a possible heart attack. Crews were on scene for about two hours.
