USA — Firefighters staved off a 25-acre blaze Sunday afternoon that threatened a dozen homes in Southwest Miami-Dade, officials said.
The brush fire began around 12:30 p.m. near Southwest 174th Street and Krome Avenue, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Lt. Arnold Piedrahita said in a press release. There were no injuries.
It took 17 fire units three hours to quell the flames. The units worked in tandem with the Florida Division of Forestry.
