India — Despite the start of the fire season the department of fire has not been equipped with the latest equipments. According to the information 13 cases of the fire has been reported from the forest so far in district headquarter fire station. In the absence of the fire beaters (equipment) the fire men of the department were forced to control the Jungle fire with the temporary arrangements.
On Wednesday late evening a fire incidence in the periphery of the town had open the actual arrangements of the department when fire mens were trying to control the fire without equipments. Although this year there was no shortage of staff in the department but sources said that despite the fire season only one fire tender was available in the local fire station. Sources said that one fire tender was sent to Ambala for repairing while another has been parked in the hope of repairing.
It is worthwhile to mention here that this fire station has to cover the area from Industrial area Kalaamb to interiors of the district to Nohradhar.
The department of forest claims that the dry leaves of the chirr trees are being removed from the jungles but fire incidence near the town indicates the actual situation. Expert says that due to the lack of coordination of forest and fire departments with villagers state looses the forest wealth in crores every year. According to further information department has got the budget for filling the diesel in fire tenders otherwise in previous year department had to take the diesel on credit.
