Nepal — Wildfire that broke out at Dharampani Forest in Bandevi in Palpa district in western Nepal three days ago has still not been put out on Sunday.

According to eKantipur.com, gust has made the efforts to control the wildfire unsuccessful.

Police and army personnel have been trying to put out the inferno, according to district forest office Palpa, some 170 km west of Kathmandu.

The forest staffers informed that efforts were made all night to control the wildfire.

“We woke up all night to prevent the fire from spreading to the nursery of herbs and plants,” staffer Sundar Pandey said. Meanwhile, the wildfire at the jungle in Chure hills near the border of Rupandehi, Palpa and Nawalparasi has still not come under control since it broke out three weeks ago.
