Japan — Tokyo firefighters were battling a wildfire in the city Sunday, one of several blazes raging this weekend in Japan, officials say.

No injuries had been reported in the fires, including one in western Tokyo that draw 48 fire engines and two helicopters. About 2,500 acres of land and three storage buildings were burned there, the Kyodo news agency reported.

Four wildfires were reported in Yamanashi prefecture, including blazes in Koshu and Mount Tanayokote. Kyodo said other fires broke out on a mountain in Nanbu, in the village of Tabayama and in a forest in the town of Minobu.

The Koshu fire required a helicopter aid from the Japanese Self-Defense Forces, officials said.
