Bushfire erupts at Margalla Hills

Pakistan — Bushfire on Monday broke out at Margalla Hills that reduced a number of trees and other wild vegetation to ashes in the area.
An official of Capital Development Authority (CDA) said probably a live cigarette butt thrown carelessly by a passerby ignited the fire at about 6:30pm.
He said the authoritys Environment Directorate sent its team to the area that put out the fire within two hours.
The official suspected timber mafia of setting the trees on fire to hide their traces of stealing the woods.
