USA — The Travis County Sheriffs office has identified a woman whose body was found on fire in Eastern Travis County on Wednesday morning. She is 21-year-old Christy Lynne Espinosa, who is from the Austin area, sheriffs spokesman Roger Wade said.
Austin firefighters responded to a call about a grass fire in the 6000 block of North Imperial Drive about 5 a.m., and arrived to find Espinosas body, officials said.
Espinosa was last seen early Wednesday morning at Sixth and Trinity streets celebrating Mardi Gras, according to the sheriffs office.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Detective Greg Lawson at 854-3426 or Crime Stoppers at 472-8477. Espinozas death is being investigated as a homicide.
