Orange County Firefighter Injured Battling Grass Fire

USA — Orange County firefighters are battling a large grass fire along FM 1131 that has injured fireman and burned acres of land and at least one abandoned home.

Firefighters on the scene say the driver of a pickup truck got stuck in a ditch and his vehicle ignited a grass fire around 10:30 a.m. The driver was unharmed, but the fire spread to an abandoned trailer home and a barn. Both were damaged.

One firefighter was injured. Firemen on the scene did not say how badly he was hurt. The injured fireman was taken to the hospital.
