USA — Travis County sheriff’s deputies investigated a suspicious death in eastern Travis County Wednesday morning.
Investigators say firefighters received a call about a grass fire at 5 a.m., and when they arrived in the 6000 block of Imperial Drive, they found a severely burned body lying in the grass by the side of the road.
Authorities are so far not calling the death a homicide or identifying the body. They say releasing too much information may jeopardize the case.
The body was taken to the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy.
