China — A forest fire in east China’s Fujian Province delayed more than a dozen trains Thursday, said local authorities.
The fire broke out at about 12:30 p.m. in Shanxian County, 270 km from Fujian’s capital Fuzhou, cutting off power to the Sanming section of the Hengfeng-Fuzhou and Yingtan-Xiamen railway lines and delaying 26 trains.
Wind drove the fire toward National Highway No. 205, and sections of the Fuzhou-Yinchuan and Nanchang-Fuzhou highways were temporarily blocked.
