USA — A 15-year-old girl started a small brush fire Tuesday night after she reportedly set a notebook on fire and threw it into the desert, according to a Pima County Sheriffs report.
The girl called 911 around 7:30 p.m. when she realized the fire was out of control.
When Sheriffs deputies arrived in the 6500 block of West McGee Ranch Road, Green Valley Fire was on scene and had extinguished the blaze, which burned about 3,500 square feet of brush, the report said.
The girls boyfriend reportedly told deputies that she has done this before, and relieves stress by setting things on fire. He then told deputies that he was the pyromanic because he was usually the one setting fires.
The girl was cited for reckless burning.
