Brush Fire near La Tuna Canyon Park Knocked Down

USA — A vehicle fire this afternoon spread to brush near La Tuna Canyon Park and grew to about 20 acres, a city fire official said.

The blaze was reported at 2:50 p.m. near 8300 W. La Tuna Canyon Road, said d’Lisa Davies of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Davies said the fire was spreading uphill, away from homes.

No evacuations were ordered, but La Tuna Canyon at Elder and the 210 La Tuna exit were shut down for fire personnel access for a time.

Air and ground crews were battling the blaze.

The fire was declared knocked down around 5:30 pm.
