“Glory of Christmas” to benefit Santa Barbara wildfire reflief

USA — In response to last months devastating wildfires in Santa Barbara County, the Crystal Cathedral announced that a portion of the proceeds from the Sunday, December 7th and December 14th performances will be directed towards the reconstruction efforts of Westmont College. Tickets will be discounted to $20 each, with 50% of the performance proceeds earmarked for Westmont College. Ticket buyers must mention Westmont College Relief either by phone or in-person at the Crystal Cathedral box office to receive the special price.
Upon hearing the news that the Tea Fire damaged and destroyed buildings on the campus was heartbreaking, says Paul Dunn, producer and director of The Glory of Christmas, and Westmont College alumnus. This is an opportunity to begin the healing, and start rebuilding.
A Southern California holiday classic, the Glory of Christmas at the Crystal Cathedral presents a cast of more than 200 soloists and dancers performing to a pre-recorded orchestration by the London Symphony Orchestra. Through pageantry, marvel and music, the Glory of Christmas is one the largest living nativities in the world featuring majestic flying angels soaring high above the Cathedral sky, mesmerizing special effects, and an array of Bethlehem era live animals.
Accompanied by the Crystal Cathedral world-renowned pipe organ, adult and child soloists perform original and traditional holiday standards such as O Holy Night, Sleep Holy Child, What Child is This? and Mary, Did You Know?
Now showing, The Glory of Christmas continues its 6-week engagement through January 4th. December 7th and 14th performances are at 5:30pm and 7:30pm.
