Wildfire breaks out at Belasica again

Macedonia — A new wildfire broke out at Belasica Mountain last night, Crises Management Center said on Wednesday.

The fire at Gjavolski Rid, which spread from neighboring Greece, scorched forestland and bilberry plants.

More than 40 firefighters from Belasica Forestry Office were battling the blaze.

The fire at Mokreni and Gabrovnik, which broke out on Tuesday, is still burning.

The blaze scorched around 100 hectares of forestland. The firefighters are still battling the blaze.

The fire above the village of Raven, Gostivar area, broke out again but it was put under control.

The fire near the village of Tazevo, Makedonski Brod, was put out. The fire caused stoppage in electric power supply, damaging MTV transmission system.
