Bulgaria — 218 people have been trying to put out the fire in the National Park Rila, which had burst on September 3rd and is still raging, the spokeswoman of the regional police directorate in the Bulgarian town of Blagoevgrad, Gergana Moralieva told Focus Pirin Radio.
According to her, the fire has destroyed 1,200 decares. 320 of them were forests and the other were grounded vegetation, dwarf pine, juniper and peat.
The fire had been bought under control in the east and in the north part, but a wind has blown, which makes it hard to be throughly put out.
