Croatia — A bush fire broke out near the village Vardarac, which borders the Kopacki Rit national park in Croatia. It broke out around 1pm and caught onto bushes and shrubs on about ten hectares.

According to the words of Damir Opacic, the chief supervisor of the park, the fire is not threatening Kopacki Rit because voluntary fire-fighters from Bilje are on the scene, as well as supervisors from the national park’s company, and are putting out the fire.

Considering the wind that is blowing, it is possible that the fire will spread to the Kopacki Rit national park.
