Indonesia/Australia — Australia has pledged A$30 (US$27.7) million to helpIndonesia address its gas emission issues through the Kalimantan Forest andClimate Partnership program. Indonesian Forestry Center spokesman Achmad Fauzisaid Indonesia was one of the countries Australia would give priority to inhelping finance environmental initiatives. The five year program, effective fromOctober 2007, will support the Indonesian governments working group onreducing emissions, capacity building, research and rehabilitation in handlingforest and peat land fires.
