Canada — The Ministry of Natural Resources is scaling back operations withno new forest fires reported in three weeks.
At last report MNR crews dealt with 477 forest fires this year that burned330 square kilometres of land.
Repairs are underway on aircraft and equipment in preparation for next yearand seasonal workers are moving on. Information Officer Debbie MacLean saidMonday, day burning is still prohibited and all campfires must be kept small andattended at all times.
