Croatia — Up until now, 6 hectares of forest and bushes have been burned, and the fire-fighters are trying to contain the fire.

At around 4pm, between the villages of Batvaci, and the road between Peroj and Barbinga, a fire broke out which is being extinguished by 50 fire-fighters and 15 vehicles.

Up until now, 6 hectares of forest and bushes have been burned, and the fire-fighters from Pula, Peroj, Bale, Medulin, Svetvincent, Vodnjan and members of “Hrvatske sume” (a Croatian forest management company) are fighting the fire to stop it from spreading.

According to the words of the commander of Pula’s fire-fighting unit, Klaudio Karlovic, the fire has not yet been localised, but is not posing a threat to people and assets at the moment.
