Twin Falls — Crews have the massive 653,100-acre Murphy Complexwildland fire all but extinguished. The fire, 30 miles southwest of Twin Falls,is nearly 100 percent contained, fire officials said today.

The fire began July 16 due to lightning and caused minor injuries to sevenpeople. The fire destroyed more than 40 power poles and power lines serving theDuck Valley Indian Reservation. Full restoration of power is expected today.

Stage II fire restrictions remain in effect. It has cost $9 million to fight theblaze.
