Dabovo.
The fire near the southern village of Dabovo, municipality of Maglizh, Stara Zagora region, is still raging. Firefighting aircraft is helping. The fire has not been localized yet.
Karlovo.
The fire near the southern town of Karlovo started again last night. The firefighting teams localized it. It is expected the fire will be put out completely in the afternoon. The fire started on two frontlines on Saturday evening. At least 300 decares of pine forest have burnt down.
Chepelare.
The state of emergency in the municipality of Chepelare has not been lifted yet. On Wednesday a fire broke out in the village of Studenets. Despite the great efforts of firefighters, policemen, military men and volunteers, the fire is still blazing. The residents of the village are out of danger. Nearly 6,500 decares of forest and farmland have been destroyed.
Vetrenitsa.
About 20-30 decares of pine forest have been destroyed near in the area of Vetrenitsa, Blagoevgrad region. High winds make the situation more complex.
Lesidren.
A forest fire broke out near the northern village of Lesidren, Lovech region. Most probably the flames spread from lit candles in the village graveyard.
A house burns down in Plovdiv (31 July 2007)
Plovdiv. An abandoned house has burnt down in Bulgarian city Plovdiv in proximity with the food technologies university there, Regional Directorate of Interior Plovdiv has announced for FOCUS News Agency. The fire started a little before 11.00 pm on Monday and has been extinguished. There are no reported casualties.
