Russian aircraft to assist fighting forest fires in Bulgaria arrives in Plovdiv

Plovdiv, Bulgaria — The Russian IL-76 aircraft, which is supposed to assist the fighting of large forest fires in Bulgaria arrived on the airport in the Bulgarian town of Plovdiv and is currently loaded with fuel and water, the airport announced for FOCUS News Agency.

Three fires have resumed in the region of the village of Dabrava as the efforts of the fire fighters to cope with the flames in the region of the village continue for more than 30 hours, the police department in the town of Stara Zagoraannounced.

The fight with fire in the region of the villages of Kolena, Oryahovitsa and Dalboki continues for more than threedays.
