Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry and Emergencies Ministry take preventive measures against forest fires

Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry and Emergencies Ministrys Firefighting Service are taking preventive measures to avert forest fires in summer, Ecology and Natural Resources Minister Huseyn Bagirov said, APA reports. The Minister said that fire occurred as a cigarette was thrown near Jeyranbatan water reservoir.
The fire was prevented and there was not much damage. The people have to be responsible for preventing forest fires, he said.
Bagirov also noted that 1500ha area has been forested this year.
