Portland, ME, USA — A wildfire in southeast Georgia hasrekindled and destroyed at least four houses. Hundreds of residents have beentold to leave their homes.
Firefighters had said they contained the fire last week, but it began raging again Thursday.
Emergency officials have closed 16 miles of highway and railroad tracks and say the fire could threaten two towns if it crosses a highway.
Wildfires in the area have scorched 95 square miles in the last week and a-half. Officials say 18 homes have been destroyed.
