South Africa — A fire ravaged through 16 shacks in the informal settlementof Wallecedene near Kraafontien.
The fire was reported yesterday afternoon just after 2pm. More than 60 peoplehave been left homeless. Of the 66 people left homeless, 30 were children
Johan Minnie Spokesperson for the Citys Disaster Risk Management says thatthe cause of the fire is still unknown. No injuries were sustained.
Minnie added that food parcels will be provided for the residents for the nextthree days.
