California, USA — A wildfire that blackened more than six square miles ofbrushland in the Tehachapi Mountains is down to hot spots Saturday morning.

Fire officials say the 4,000-acre blaze near the Grapevine on Interstate 5 is 80percent contained and should be corralled by Saturday evening.

Rain is on the way and authorities say that should help. Gusty winds and lowhumidity were a problem yesterday but firefighters managed to keep the blazefrom spreading.

No homes are threatened.

The fire in the Tehachapi Mountains north of Los Angeles began Thursday. It wassparked by a burning car on the nearby freeway.
