Hawkes Bay, New Zealand — Waitaki rural firefighters have spent the morning putting out a forest fire that reignited at Herbert, near Oamaru.
Firefighters had brought the blaze under control last night, but several fires started again this morning.
About 20 firefighters have put out the fires this morning, but say several spots are still smoking.
About 6,000 trees over 20 hectares have been destroyed and rural fire officers believe the fire may have been deliberately lit.
