JOHANNESBURG — Kwa-Zulu-Natal veld fire prevention structures had received an R8.3 million cash injection from the provincial Department of Agriculture and Environmental Affairs, fire prevention advocacy group Working on Fire said yesterday.
“The increased funding means extra helicopters and a spotter plane will be available to fire teams,” Working on Fire spokeswoman Val Charlton said.
