Israel — After nine hours, firefighters announced that a Golan Heights forest fire was brought under control, but not before it destroyed hundreds of dunams of land.
The blaze, which erupted in the Nahal HaZaki area, resulted in heavy damage to the area and wildlife. Firefighters are expected to continue monitoring the blaze during the night to ensure it does not become active again.
