Bandar Seri Begawan — A bush fire occurred in Kg Terunjing, Berakas around t lam yesterday.
The forest fire that gutted a wide stretch of land occurred just along the bypass high way from Jalan Terunjing to the Jerudong highway. The smoke could be seen from as far as RIPAS Hospital.
The bush fire is believed to be due to natural causes including the dry condition of the grass and the hot and dry weather.
The Fire and Rescue Services Department of Lambak immediately rushed to the scene to contain the fire to avoid causing further damage or endangering residents nearby.
